Prof. Sanghyun Kim
The Robot Control and Intelligence Laboratory (RCI Lab) ย was established in the spring of 2023, when Sanghyun Kim joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Kyung Hee University. Our research spans a variety of areas in robotics and automation, with a primary focus on developing redundant control, human-robot interaction, AI-based control, and trajectory optimization for using various robots, such as mobile manipulators and humanoids, in human-centered environments.ย
The research interests of our lab broadly span many areas of robotics. Some of our main areas of interest include:

for legged robots with Inverse dynamics control and AI-based planning
for transporting heavy object

with traversabiilty estimation and 3D SLAM
including DDP, MPPI, and other SOTA algorithms
