Prof. Sanghyun Kim
The Robot Control and Intelligence Laboratory (RCI Lab) was established in the spring of 2023, when Sanghyun Kim joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Kyung Hee University. Our research spans a variety of areas in robotics and automation, with a primary focus on developing redundant control, human-robot interaction, AI-based control, and trajectory optimization for using various robots, such as mobile manipulators and humanoids, in human-centered environments.
The research interests of our lab broadly span many areas of robotics. Some of our main areas of interest include:
of mobile manipulator for handling various complex tasks in human-centered environment
for legged robots with Inverse dynamics control and AI-based planning
for transporting heavy object
with various robots
with traversabiilty estimation and 3D SLAM
including DDP, MPPI, and other SOTA algorithms
including locomotion and loco-maniuplation
